Union Solidarity invites all interested people to attend a meeting to
discuss the formation of a 'grass roots', autonomous group in the City of
Yarra to pursue local industrial, social justice and environmental
interests.

Union Solidarity local groups are an important part of defending workers
and their communities. Whilst the Howard Government is no longer in power,
employers are still actively using the Workchoices legislation and other
anti-union laws against workers and their unions. Welfare recipients are
still struggling to survive on miniscule incomes. We believe that as a
united community, we can effectively defend our communities against
corporate attacks and these anti-democratic laws.
