"What do we know? What do we do? Activist Knowledge in OZ & indigenous struggles in 'Latin America'

Marisol and Tristan from the Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET) and Mexico Australia Solidarity Network

will discuss the manner in which the struggles for indigenous autonomy across "Latin America" presage the transformation of Latin America itself. Bolivia, Chile and Mexico are clear national spaces where the question of indigenous autonomy has become prescient. How do these indigenous movements form the backbone of social change in and for Latin AmericaH Furthermore, the nature and work of LASNET as a transnational activist network also presents us with the need to consider the difference between "activist" and instrumental knowledge.
