Despite the mass opposition around the world to the War in Iraq, Bush
has 
just announced a horror budget. He wants billions more cut from health
and 
education to fund the mass slaughter in Iraq. A war that has claimed so 
far... over 650 000 Iraq lives, killed over 3000 US marines, and Bush is

escalating the killing!
John Howard supports this and openly boasted in the Liberal party room
that 
he could get David Hicks home if he wanted to. Later this month Dick
Cheney 
is coming over to personally thank Howard for his unwavering support for
the 
war in Iraq, the war of terror in general and all the human rights
abuses 
associated with it.

NOW is the time to take at stand against this madness that a clear
majority 
of people oppose!

If you belong to a Student union, a Trade union, a political party, 
activist/community/campaign group, take a stand argue for it to endorse
the 
attached statement from Melbourne Stop the War. We need you to help us
build 
as big a protest as possible on MARCH 17. Enough is enough!

We have already had many groups endorse the Rally and Statement...but we

want more and the situation is demands it!

In the last few days, The Greens have placed the rally details on their 
website, and moved motions in their branches. Melbourne Uni and
Swinburne 
student unions have made donations to help fund the campaign. 3CR have 
started advertising on air. Bronwyn Pike ALP member for Melbourne is 
allowing us use of resources. But we need more support. Get your 
union/group/local MP/councilor to support and endorse the rally and the 
statement!
